Honor just unveiled its new foldable the Honor Magic V6 and it's loaded with a beefy 6,600 mAh battery and a beefed-up hinge right before Mobile World Congress (MWC) kicks off in Barcelona.

The Chinese tech giant has basically made it their mission to prove they build the skinniest foldables out there. This year's model sits at 4mm thick when you unfold it and 8.75mm when it's closed up. Compare that to last year's Magic V5, which measured 4.1mm unfolded and 8.8mm folded. We're talking razor-thin differences here, but hey, it lets them keep bragging about those numbers.

The battery might be the real showstopper though. The Magic V6 rocks a 6,600 mAh battery a solid jump from last year's 5,820 mAh. With Honor's SuperCharge tech, you can juice it up at 80W wired or 66W wireless. Pretty wild. And get this Honor also showed off new Silicon-carbon battery tech with 32% silicon density that could push foldable batteries past 7,000 mAh down the line. That's seriously impressive.

The device sports a massive 7.95-inch main AMOLED screen with 2352 x 2172 resolution, plus a 6.52-inch cover display at 2420 x 1080. Both screens support LTPO 2.0, meaning they can dynamically switch refresh rates anywhere from 1-120Hz depending on what you're doing better for readability and battery life.

Honor says they've engineered a new Super Steel Hinge with 2,800 MPa tensile strength, which should hold up way better long-term. They've also cut down the crease depth by 44%, so the screen looks way smoother. Oh, and the Magic V6 has a new anti-reflective coating on the outer screen with just 1.5% reflectivity. Nice touch.

Under the hood, it's running Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB storage. Camera-wise, there are three on the back: a 50MP main shooter (f/1.6), a 64MP telephoto (f/2.5), and a 50MP ultrawide (f/2.2). Up front, you get dual 20MP cameras at f/2.2.

Honor's really pushing to make this thing play nice with Apple devices. With the Magic V6, you can actually set up two-way notification syncing with an iPhone pretty slick. Plus, it's got settings that'll push notifications straight to your Apple Watch. You can also transfer files to Macs with just one tap, and the phone can even work as an extended display for your Mac.

Honor didn't drop any pricing details yet, but they did say the Magic V6 will roll out to select international markets sometime in the second half of the year.
